Fulfilling our duty to facilitate, demonstrate and promote CSR in Nepal.
ICTC Group of Companies will continue to do its part in whatever way it is possible to facilitate, demonstrate and promote Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the country.
We believe that long-term sustainability demands organizations to rethink their business goals and objectives from solely focusing on making a profit to corporate citizenship.
Today, the impact of CSR can be seen in communities throughout the world - from human rights and labor practices to health care and the environment. All are connected, none is in isolation.
HR leadership plays a critical role of leading and educating their firms regarding the importance of CSR, and strategically implementing sound HR management practices that support the company’s business and CSR goals.
Our CSR Motto: “We ensure the well being of all our stakeholders and employees.”

All entities associated with ICTC are actively engaged in activities to help the communities through various means. Premier Insurance (now SPIL), for example, regularly organizes philanthropic activities such as providing educational items for children and food distribution for senior citizens living at old age homes.
Similarly, Hyatt Regency Kathmandu has also been contributing to the community through the ‘Hyatt Thrive Initiatives’. This include activities such as annual donations and monthly birthday celebrations for orphaned children at the nonprofit organization - The Buddhist Child’s Home, regular blood donation with Nepal Red Cross Society, organizing a joint volunteering program with the Habitat for Humanity to rebuild homes for the 2015 earthquake affected families.
Similarly, Hyatt Regency Kathmandu also has the Youth Career Initiative (YCI) program for providing skills, training and classroom-based learning to empower children/teenagers living at SOS Children’s Villages Nepal. Besides these, Hyatt Regency Kathmandu is actively engaged in many other community service program.

ICTC also takes its CSR earnestly by providing for disaster-affected communities and families through substantial contributions through various NGOs, INGOs, as well as the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund.
Our distilleries take pride in the conscious efforts of empowering women in various communities through active employment and cultivation of women in all three of our factories - female employees make up the majority of the total factory line-workers in ICTC’s distilleries.

IRRT(ICTC Ram Rukmani Charitable Private Trust) carries forward the philanthropic legacy of Mr. Ram Lal Shrestha and his spouse Late Mrs. Rukmani Devi Shrestha, founders of the ICTC Group. Built on decades of charitable work, IRRT is dedicated to uplifting marginalized and vulnerable communities across Nepal.
We stand with those facing poverty, disability, gender-based violence, and social exclusion-especially girls, women, and children.

Mr. Ram Lal Shrestha successfully led and steered the company from a small stationery shop to what it now stands today as one of the largest business houses in Nepal.
Mr. Ram Lal Shrestha has been doing numerous charitable works in Kathmandu and other districts in Nepal throughout his life spending more than 60 years.
The ICTC Group firmly believes that CSR is as important a part as is the business growth; and thus the establishment of ICTC Ram Rukmani Charitable Private Trust is an important step to institutionalize CSR activities from the Group companies, Owners, and Directors. IRRT has active participation from the owners/directors of the various ICTC Group of Companies.

ICTC Ram Rukmani Charitable Private Trust (IRRT) was founded in 2020 as the institutional successor to the ICTC Group’s longstanding commitment to social good. Rooted in the vision of its founders, IRRT honors their enduring belief in equity, dignity, and service.
We design and implement programs that deliver healthcare, education, sanitation, and social awareness to underprivileged communities, reaching the poor, elderly, people with disabilities, and survivors of gender-based violence (GBV).
We work to advance equity, dignity, and opportunity for underprivileged individuals through inclusive programs in education, health, gender, and water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH).
We envision a just and inclusive society where every individual regardless of gender, caste, age, ability or cultural background has access to fundamental rights, and opportunities to thrive.
